Single-circuit gas boilers

Single-circuit gas boilers have found their application in organizing the heating of apartments, residential buildings, buildings and structures, although in the first place, they, of course, are intended for heating residential premises. A single-circuit gas boiler is the most popular and most common heating equipment today.

Single-circuit gas wall-mounted boilers - device and application

A heating boiler is something like an ordinary pot, into which water was poured and covered with a lid, put on fire. Inside such a heating boiler there is a coolant, which, due to the combustion of fuel, gradually heats up and enters the heating system. This is the main purpose of the gas boiler - to heat the coolant as efficiently as possible by burning natural gas.

The gas single-circuit wall-mounted boiler uses natural gas for its fairly economical operation. Given the potential danger of the fuel used, the boiler is equipped with devices to ensure its safe operation.

Gas single-circuit wall-mounted boilers are less powerful than floor-standing ones. They also differ by country - manufacturer, power and price. Basically, buyers prefer European-made boilers.

As the name implies, a wall-mounted gas single-circuit boiler is hung directly on the wall. The price of a wall-mounted single-circuit boiler is higher than a floor-standing one. It is usually installed in small apartments or small areas where it is not possible to install a floor boiler.

Single-circuit gas floor boilers - device and application

Floor gas single-circuit boilers cost much less than wall-mounted ones. They are much larger, but using almost the same amount of fuel, they heat more water.

For the manufacture of gas single-circuit floor boilers, mainly cast iron and steel are used. But, recently, due to the low cost of steel boilers, they are in great demand among the population.

Single-circuit gas floor boilers are used only for space heating. If there is a need to connect such a boiler to provide hot water, then a boiler must be purchased as an addition to it.

Installation and installation of single-circuit gas wall-mounted boilers

Before proceeding with the installation of a wall-mounted single-circuit gas boiler, flush all of its internal pipes. In order to do this, it is necessary to remove the transport plugs from them and pass water under slight pressure through the entire gas boiler. This must be done in order to avoid problems from the possible ingress of small debris into them during the assembly process.

The material from which the wall is made, on which you will hang the boiler, must be of non-combustible material. If there is no such wall in the house, then a heat-resistant coating is first laid out on the existing wall, with a layer of at least 3 mm, and the wall-mounted heating boiler itself is fixed at a distance of at least 45 mm from the wall itself.

The installation of a wall-mounted single-circuit boiler itself consists in attaching it to mounting strips installed at a height of 0.8 - 1.6 m from the floor. It is necessary to fix the boiler evenly, avoiding distortions. To do this, it is necessary to check the accuracy with a level.

Be sure to install a filter on the water supply pipe to your boiler. This is important to do in order to prevent possible clogging, which can cause problems in the operation of the entire heating system and even lead to the failure of the gas boiler. On both sides of the filter, it is necessary to install shut-off valves in order to subsequently change or clean the heat exchanger without draining the water from the heating system, and thus leaving the whole house without heat.

If the design of your wall-mounted single-circuit gas boiler is “chimney”, then you need to install its chimney and check for mandatory draft. If your model of the boiler is “not a chimney”, then there is no need to install a chimney, because, according to its design, all combustion products will be removed using the draft of the existing fan.

The process of connecting gas to the boiler on its own is not allowed. To do this, you will have to call specialists, employees of the gas industry. A prerequisite for connecting and putting into operation is the use of not a plastic, but a metal pipe and a special drive.

At the end of the installation of a wall-mounted single-circuit gas boiler, it is necessary to connect it to the electrical network, providing for equipping its power circuit with an overheating and short circuit protection circuit breaker.

When installing the heating boiler, pay attention to the fact that it must be at least 20 cm away from any gas or electric appliances, as well as flammable materials.

Installation and installation of floor gas single-circuit boilers

Floor gas single-circuit boilers, as a rule, are more powerful than wall-mounted ones, and are used to heat houses with a large area. This implies the need for heating several floors. Before purchasing a floor gas boiler, you need to pay attention to how the pipes are located in the boiler room where it will be installed so that the pipes of the floor boiler are placed on the same side as the pipe inlets.

The floor boiler has a rather large weight, so it is necessary to equip a reliable base for it. On a solid wooden floor in the boiler room, you can put a sheet of galvanized iron of sufficient size (about 30 cm larger than the base of the boiler).

Having installed a floor gas single-circuit boiler, it is necessary to level it as evenly as possible, placing any non-combustible solid material under the legs, if necessary.

After that, you can connect your gas boiler to the chimney, after checking the draft there. This must be done if the boiler is not equipped with forced draft.

In order to avoid premature clogging of the heat exchanger, before connecting the floor-standing single-circuit gas boiler to the domestic heating system, immediately before the inlet of the return pipeline, but after the outlet for filling the system, it is necessary to install a hard filter.

The gas floor single-circuit boiler must be installed and connected to the heating system in such a way that, in case of something unforeseen, it can be easily dismantled. For this purpose, on each of the pipes of the boiler (inlet or outlet), it is necessary to install valves that allow you to quickly dismantle the boiler without the need to drain water from the heating system.

The connection of the boiler to the gas pipeline system is carried out using a steel pipe and with the permission of the gas management employee.

Single-circuit gas boiler baxi

Baxi Group Holding (England) is one of the largest and most professional global organizers of heating, comfort and coziness in the homes of millions of people around the world. The Baxi Group holding is almost 150 years old today, it has thirty companies located both in England and Italy, as well as in France, Germany, Denmark, Spain and also Turkey with 6,000 employees and an annual turnover of one billion euros.

The annual output is about one million units of boiler equipment. In Europe, baxi boilers are in third place in terms of sales, or 11% of the entire heating equipment market.

The Italian company Baxi Spa, part of the Baxi Group holding, is a center for the production of low-power single-circuit gas heating boilers. In Italy, today it ranks first in the production of baxi single-circuit gas boilers. It is noteworthy that about 70% of all products manufactured by the Italian company are made for export. It is bought by more than sixty countries of the world.

Thus, we can conclude that one of the most important requirements for single-circuit gas boilers is: economy, environmental friendliness and high efficiency during long periods of unattended operation.
